Strategy Games That Don't Kill Your Battery

Not every strategy game turns your phone into a hand warmer. After testing a bunch on the same mid-range device, I found the ones that respect your battery share a few traits.

Turn-based games almost always win here. Without constant real-time rendering, they sip power. I've done hour-long train rides on RPG battles and barely lost fifteen percent.

Games with clean 2D art also help enormously. Flashy 3D racers look great but they'll cook your phone in twenty minutes. If battery matters that day, pick your genre accordingly.

One tip that surprised me: lowering the frame rate cap in settings, where the game allows it, made a bigger difference than lowering brightness. Not every game offers it, but check.
