One-Handed Controls Are Underrated
We rarely play phone games at a desk with both hands free. We're on buses, in queues, lying in bed. So how a game handles one-thumb play matters more than most reviews admit.
The winners use big touch targets, drag-based placement, and menus that pull up near your thumb rather than the far corner of the screen. Small details, huge difference over a long session.
Casinacho Games got this right, and so did a couple of others we've covered. The worst offenders bury key actions in the top corners, forcing you to shuffle the phone around mid-battle.
When you're trying a new game, do a quick test: can you play it comfortably with one hand for five minutes? If not, it'll quietly annoy you forever.
